Description:
Experienced Wood Floor & Roof Truss Designer to work Remotely from home for our Bremen, IN location. The right candidate will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to work independently as well as collaborate with a team to effectively manage deadlines. Wall panel & EWP (I-Joist) experience is a plus, but not required. Position will be paid on level of experience as well as ability.
Duties:
· Develop final designs that are optimized for manufacturing as specified by the contract documents while completing them in an agreed upon time to meet manufacturing and delivery schedules.
· Additional duties to include: SqFt Quotes, Ability to answer and assist with Technical Questions, Calculating load requirements utilizing beam sizing software, Manage personal design schedule, report on personal design metrics, meet during weekly design meetings via Teams
Requirements:
· High School Diploma or GED
· Ability to read and understand blueprints with basic knowledge MS Office programs
· Minimum of 3 years Roof & Floor Truss design experience
· MiTek or Alpine Industry Software experience
· Available and working Remote 8-10 hours /day, five (5) days a week.
· Ability to travel to Bremen, IN a minimum of 1 or 2x per year for offsite quarterly meetings
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
