This position requires a café allrounder with cooking and baking experience in order to support the Chef/Site Manager with the preparation, cooking, and serving of food to customers, as well as keeping the café clean, and closing up at end of the shift. You will need to be able to prepare, cook and serve a variety of food options, as well as operate Eftpos and POS machine with a smile.

As the Silver Fern Farms site in Te Aroha closes for approximately three months during the off season, the cafeteria and food service staff will be relocated to its Waitoa site over this period so flexibility to travel will be required.

Catering for approximately 500 staff over two shifts, the food service at this site is centred around a main meal each day along with a selection of grab and go options, freshly baked goods, sandwiches and wraps.
