The appointee will work in the laboratories for School of Medical and Health Sciences. He / She will be required but not limited to:
- provide technical advice and support to laboratory users;
- facilitate laboratory users to conduct demonstration, teaching and learning in laboratory session for undergraduate and sub-degree students;
- perform regular maintenance of all laboratory equipment and facilities to ensure smooth operation of the Physiotherapy laboratories,
- assist students in the procedural / practical steps during laboratory sessions;
- assist in supervision of students in the laboratory;
- be responsible for controlling the Student Laboratory Booking Systems and regular stock maintenance and procurement;
- assist in project, research and consultancy activities;
- assist in the implementation of Health and Safety policies of the College;
- supervise junior staff of the laboratories; and
- perform any other duties as assigned by the Dean or his / her delegate.
Applicants should:
- possess a bachelor’s degree in Biological / Biomedical / Chemical Sciences or relevant disciplines;
- have at least 3 years of relevant experience preferably in tertiary institution / clinic / hospital;
- have good knowledge of health and safety practices;
- possess IT and computer knowledge; and
- work on irregular hours including Saturdays and Sundays if necessary.
Salary will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
